Shinobu Whisky is hand crafted by the creative distiller, Mr. Usami, by carefully selecting whisky from around the world which are first reserved in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks and then finishing them with precious Japanese Mizunara oak in Japan. The result is a unique fusion of flavors and dynamic explosion in palate yet so smooth and easy to drink.
- Rounded aromas of Ovaltine, stewed plums and orange zest followed by hints of dried coconut and vanilla. Chewy and full bodied, richer and more supple than Shinobu’s malt and grain blend, it also shows overall better balance. The finish is malty then crisp and finely tannic, fading with the same delicate sweetness.
- Tasting Notes: The dryness of spiced wood arrives first on the palate, followed by cranberry and apple notes, with a lasting muddle of orange marmalade and honey sweetness.
